Tithi ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Hindu calendar and panchang application available at tithi.app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it.

What We Collect

Location coordinates — When you use Tithi, you can share your location (via your browser's geolocation API) or select a city manually. Your coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent to our server solely to compute your panchang. We do not store, log, or retain your coordinates after the calculation is complete.

Browser preferences — Your selected theme (light/dark), language preference, and last-used location are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Analytics — This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which collects anonymised, aggregated data including page views, referring URLs, browser type, and approximate country-level location. No personally identifiable information is collected. No cookies are set for analytics purposes.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No account registration or personal information (name, email, phone)
  • No cookies for tracking or advertising
  • No cross-site tracking
  • No selling or sharing of any data with third parties for commercial purposes
  • No precise location stored on our servers

Third-Party Services

Tithi relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:

  • Vercel — Hosting and analytics. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry) — Serves the Satoshi font. Font requests are made directly from your browser to their CDN.
  • OpenStreetMap — Attribution reference only; we do not make live requests to OpenStreetMap servers from the app.

Children's Privacy

Tithi does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require registration and collects no personal data, making it safe for general audiences.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
